What happens after a crime report is filed with a Carrboro Police Officer?

An Incident Report is created by officers based upon the information provided by the reporting party, witnesses, suspects, and the officer's observations. Officers submit these reports to their supervisors for review prior to the end of their shift. After review by supervisors, the Incident Report will typically be available withing 24 to 48 hours. 

Arrest Reports are filed when a subject is arrested as a result of an investigation or issuance of an Order for Arrest or Warrant for Arrest.

Traffic Crash Reports are completed after officers respond to and investigate a traffic crash that occurred within the Town of Carrboro. Traffic Crash Reports will typically be available withing 24 to 48 hours.
