Schedule of Events

If you would like to assist the Town of Carrboro in our effort to provide this Community Event-

2009 Carrboro July 4th Celebration will be held at the Carrboro Town Hall on Saturday, July 4th. Please come and celebrate our freedom and independence with us !

Come and enjoy a small town tradition with big time FUN! The Town of Carrboro will celebrate America's Independence Day once again with their July 4th Celebration event at the Carrboro Town Hall. This year the Celebration will be bigger and better than ever!

This years event will combine the Recreation and Parks Department traditional events with additon of the Carrboro Farmers' Market to bring our citizens a unique arrangement! The Carrboro Farmers Market will be holding a Special 4th of July Market in front of Town Hall on West Main Street during the shortened market hours of 7am - 10am.

West Main Street will be blocked off during the hours to allow customer traffic for the 4th of July Carrboro Farmers Market. So come on out and visit the Carrboro Farmers Market and then stick around to help celebrate July 4th with us.

Help us kick off the event at Weaver Street Market Lawn ( beginning at 9:30a.m.)!

A Parade from Weaver Street Market to Town Hall (11:00a.m.) will bring the Weaver Street participants together with those in attendance at the Carrboro Town Hall.

Of course the Kids Fun Zone and Fun Zone Stage will be back and better than ever! Enjoy Pirate Captain Jim Magic Show, Juggle Boy, Roaming Magic, Fortune Teller, Face Painters, food, and plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy!

Put on your Red, White, and Blue and join in the fun!
